It all started as a travel blog in 2013 when I was backpacking across India and wanted to inspire others to travel, and make it easy for them to plan their trip by sharing real travel stories from places I’d been to. Maven is Yiddish for a trusted expert in a particular field, who seeks to pass timely and relevant knowledge to others. That field for me is Travel. But knowledge is infinite; and the joy of learning about new places, cultures and experiencing new adventures is always going to be a work-in-progress, hence the name Wannabemaven.
