One of the best places to visit in Rajkot, these are three caves carved out of local limestone rock, dating 4th century AD. There is a stupa at the entrance of the central cave and two large sculptures of Bodhisattvas Padmapani and Vajrapani from the Buddhist period near the entrance. You can visit the caves any time of the day.

3. Watson Museum

The museum displays the royal past of the Rajputs through arts and artefacts from a bygone era. Guided tours are available and photography is permitted as well. The museum is open from 9am to 1pm and from 3pm to 6pm every day except Wednesdays.

4. Kaba Gandhi No Delo

One of the top tourist places in Rajkot, Kaba Gandhi No Delo is where Mahatma Gandhi spent his childhood. It has now been converted into the Smriti Museum and has a pictorial representation of the early years of Gandhi and his family. The place is of great historical importance. It remains open from 9am to 6pm throughout the week.

5. Aji Dam

Built on the River Aji, the dam meets the water needs of the people of the city. It makes for an ideal picnic spot; there’s an amusement park and a zoo nearby. Aji Dam is an ideal place to spend time with your family. You can visit the dam throughout the day. The zoo remains open on all days from 9am to 5pm.
